Every chair and bench is constructed from strong, kiln-dried lumber. Each joint is constructed with secure pocket-style holes and fastened together with indoor/outdoor grade screws. Using Kiln-dried lumber helps keep the weight down, while still maintaining good structural integrity. For long-lasting outdoor applications, we highly recommend sealing it with a marine-grade polyurethane. We understand that not everyone wants to seal their own benches, so we do offer the option of us adding 2 coats of a UV-resistant polyurethane.
